Description: Document Name and Identification - IDENTIFICATION

This document identifies and introduces the set of provisions, and indicates the types of entities and applications for which this CP / CPS is targeted.

Document Name and Identification for Certificate policy of openOSI Certification authority (CA)

All documents related to openOSI Certificate policy (CP) and Certifications practices Statment (CPS) have an OID. Statements from parent OID are inherited by children OID which refine parents statements.

  • Document title: it is the ASN.1 OID of corresponding Certificate policy / Certifications practices Statment
  • Document version: it the date of publication in the openOSI WIKI
  • Document date: see document version
  • Document validity: Valid until replacement by an updated version, check document history to identify appropriate version related to certificate issuing date.
  • ASN.1 OID: see document title and OID tree, root openOSI OID is registered with IANA, children OID are available in worldwide OID directories from Norway and France

Objective

openOSI builds a coherent certificate policy frame for documents, registry and associated business process that can be defined formally i.e using BPEL (BPELWS) and associated open source tools like activeBPEL or Jboss JBPM.

Usage

The usage of this common certificate policy is to be a single point of reference for others openOSI CP/CPS OID. This OID can be used by anyone under an LGPL license if corresponding policy is enforced.
